Grading Service Terms & Conditions

Legal Agreement & Service Policy

This document constitutes a legally binding Terms and Conditions agreement between SCWC and the User. By submitting cards for grading services with SCWC, you acknowledge, understand, and unconditionally accept all terms and conditions set forth in this document. Please read carefully before utilizing our services.

1. Scope of Service

  • -SCWC acts solely as an intermediary to collect, ship, and track submissions to international grading companies.
  • -SCWC is not a grading company and has no authority to determine or influence grading results in any way.

2. Risks and Card Condition

  • -Grades may be lower than expected or the card may be rejected (e.g., No Grade / Authentic Only / Min Size / Altered, etc.).
  • -For Cross/Crack submissions or previously Pre-graded cards: The customer must accept the new grade regardless of the outcome (whether it remains the same, increases, or decreases).
  • -SCWC is not responsible for pre-existing damage to the card, such as scratches, bends, stains, or prior repairs.

3. Loss or Damage

  • -SCWC is strictly a collection and shipping service provider. SCWC will not be held liable or provide any compensation whatsoever in the event of loss or damage to the cards.
  • -If loss or damage occurs during the grading company's process or shipping, SCWC will assist in coordinating and gathering relevant evidence to provide to the customer. This enables the customer to pursue claims or legal action directly against the responsible company.

4. Valuation and Service Fees

  • -The customer must declare the estimated value (Declared Value) of the card to determine the appropriate Service Level.
  • -If the grading company reassesses the value and applies an Upcharge later, the customer agrees to pay the actual difference.
  • -Paid service fees are strictly non-refundable once the cards have been shipped.

5. Processing Time

  • -The estimated timeframe provided is only an approximation, not a guaranteed deadline.
  • -Delays may occur due to the grading company, holiday seasons, high work volume, or shipping cut-off cycles, which are factors beyond SCWC's control.

6. Card Swaps / Grading Company Errors

  • -In the event of an error by the grading company (e.g., swapped cards, incorrect label printing), SCWC will assist in coordinating a correction. However, the customer acknowledges that the correction process may take a long time and the outcome is dependent on the grading company.

7. Card Return Reception

  • -The customer must inspect the card immediately upon receiving the return.
  • -Any issues must be reported within 7 days from the date of receipt. After this period, it will be considered that the customer has fully accepted the condition of the work.

8. Card Ownership Requirement

  • -The individual submitting the card for grading must be the true and rightful owner of the card. SCWC strictly prohibits submitting cards on behalf of or as a proxy for third parties under any circumstances.
  • -To prevent legal complications in the event of loss, damage, or theft, SCWC will only coordinate, process, and provide relevant evidence directly to the registered submitter in our system.
  • -If it is subsequently discovered that the submitter is not the rightful owner of the card, SCWC reserves the right to disclaim any responsibility and will not participate in any disputes between the submitter and third parties.

9. Acceptance of Terms

  • -By submitting cards for grading, the customer is deemed to have ✅ read, ✅ understood, and ✅ fully accepted all the terms and conditions stated above.
